Two stickmen, one arena, and a scoreboard that only cares about rounds. Stick Duel: The War is a 3D stickman shooter where you take on the computer or a friend sharing your keyboard, and the first fighter to win five rounds takes the match.

The twenty maps are more than backdrops. Each has its own layout, and some hide burning pools and assorted traps that punish careless footing, so reading the terrain matters as much as aiming. Weapons come with strengths and weaknesses, which means grabbing the right one at the right moment can swing a close round. It also loads on phones and tablets, though two players will be happier with a keyboard.

How to play Stick Duel: The War

1. Choose whether to face the computer or a friend on the same keyboard.
2. Player 1 moves with the arrow keys, double jumps with Up twice and hits with L.
3. Player 2 moves with W A S D, double jumps with W twice and hits with F.
4. Grab a weapon, steer clear of the hazards and win five rounds to take the match.
