Old-school shoot em up fans will see the family resemblance straight away. Operation Thunderstrike is a fast arcade shooter demo where you pick between a tank and a helicopter and blast your way toward a final boss.

Upgrades appear along the way, so it pays to collect them before the end-of-level fight and arrive at the boss with your best weapons ready. The tank can jump and aim its turret independently, while the helicopter flies freely in every direction. Keyboard controls are used on computers, and a touch screen setup is available on mobile. It plays in the browser.

How to play operation Thunderstrike

1. Pick either the tank or the helicopter.
2. Tank: move left and right, aim the turret with up and down, press V for bullets, C for the cannon and X to jump.
3. Helicopter: fly with the arrow keys, press V for bullets and C for the cannon.
4. On a phone, use the on-screen touch controls.
5. Collect upgrades and beat the final boss.
