About Mad Day Special
Half racing game, half alien shooter: that is the pitch of Mad Day Special. You start out in a truck fitted with a rocket launcher, taking on an invasion of Earth while trying to rescue a pet octopus called Fluffy.
The road is full of slopes and breakable barriers, and later on you carry on by foot with a shotgun. Between runs you can spend your earnings on upgrades for the car, weapons, armour and even clothing, so each attempt feels a little stronger than the last. It is a loud, cartoonish mix, and it rewards players who like tinkering as much as shooting.
