Spikes are usually the thing to avoid, but in Logus Pocus they are a tool. Hop onto one and your little character shrinks, which can be exactly what you need to squeeze through a tight gap on the way to the gate.
The goal in each room is to pick up the gold and then reach the exit, and the puzzle lies in working out when to be big and when to be small. The pixel look is clean and retro, and the control scheme is just WASD. That makes it best on a computer with a keyboard. Think carefully, move deliberately and you will enjoy the clever twist on a familiar platforming setup.

Yes. Logus Pocus is free, runs in your browser, and needs no download or sign-up.
Use W, A, S and D to move. It is best on a computer with a keyboard.
Landing on spikes makes your character smaller, which lets you reach areas and pass through gaps you otherwise could not.
