Anyone who has fiddled with a plastic sliding puzzle will recognize this one. GBox Slide and Swap gives you a box of look-alike square tiles, each printed with a number, and exactly one empty space to shuffle them around with.
The aim is to get the numbers climbing in order, row by row from the top, with the gap ending up in the lower right corner. Anyone can get there eventually, but doing it in few moves takes real planning. A picture variant is also part of the genre. Mouse and touch both work, so you can play it on a laptop or a phone, and a single board is a pleasant way to give your brain a short workout.

Yes. GBox Slide and Swap is free, runs in your browser, and requires no download or registration.
Click or tap a tile beside the empty space and it slides into the gap. This works with a mouse or a touch screen.
Put the numbers in rising order with tile 1 in the upper left and the gap at the lower right. Using fewer moves is the best way to improve.
