Length is everything. In Stick Soldier you press and hold to lengthen a stick, then let go so it falls across the gap and becomes a bridge for your little soldier to walk over.
Make it too short and your character drops into the void; make it too long and you overshoot the platform. That tiny judgement call, repeated again and again, is the whole game, and it is what makes it so easy to start and so hard to put down. The tall 720x1280 layout is designed for phones, though a mouse click works just as well on a computer.
