Steering wheels are overrated. In Rope Racer you control your car by tying it to poles that stand outside the track, and the rope does the turning for you.
Click anywhere on the screen and the car is attached to a pole, then swings around it. Letting go at the right moment sends you off along the road again. It is an unusual and slightly tricky way to race, and the main goal is simply to avoid crashing. Because only a click or a tap is needed, the game plays well on both a phone and a computer. It is free to play in the browser.
