Think of mini golf played with a hockey puck. In Pocket Hockey you tap to strike a disc, and your job is to get it rolling into the hole at the end of the course. Obstacles sit in the way, so the straight line is rarely the right one.
Bounces are your friend if you plan them, and your enemy if you do not. Part of the fun is looking at the layout for a few seconds before you commit to a hit. It is a single-player game with a small portrait window, easy to tap through on a phone and just as playable with a mouse on a computer.
