Think sudoku, but swap numbers for colors. Only 1 color per line asks you to fill a grid so that each color shows up once in every line, which sounds easy until the grid starts to fill and your options shrink.
It is a pure logic exercise, with no time pressure and no tricks. You study the squares already placed, work out which colors cannot go where, and gradually narrow down the answer. Players who like deduction puzzles will settle in quickly, and newcomers will find the idea easy to grasp. The portrait layout suits a phone, and the browser version also works on a computer with a mouse.
