Hold the line across several dozen levels against squads of monsters, using a barrage tower as your anchor. Nova Defender mixes tower defense with direct action, because you have automatic turrets working for you and a main character you can upgrade yourself.
Defeated enemies drop resources, and those resources pay for extra buildings that strengthen your defence. The decision of what to build next, and when to upgrade your hero instead, is where the strategy lives. It is a compact browser game, so there is not much to set up, and it works with a mouse or a touchscreen. A stickman-style look keeps the action easy to read.
