Candies take the place of the usual tiles in Mahjong Sweet Connection, but the logic is familiar. You take away two matching candies per move, and both of them must be free: open on the left or right, with nothing stacked above.
The path between a pair does not have to be short, though it may turn at right angles twice at most. That rule gives you room to be creative, and it also means a pair that looks blocked may actually be connectable by a roundabout route.
