Six guesses, one hidden word and a bit of deduction. Guess the Word gives you a half-dozen attempts to find a randomly chosen word, and after every attempt it tells you which of your letters appear in the answer and whether they sit in the right spot.

That feedback is the whole game. Use it to rule letters in and out, build a pattern, and avoid reusing letters you know are wrong. On a computer you type with the keyboard; on a phone or tablet, tap the buttons shown on screen. It is a quick word puzzle that suits kids and adults alike, and a round takes only a couple of minutes.

How to play Guess the Word
