About Challenge the Runners

A knockout race, but with a silly, colourful twist: you are a little runner trying not to get eliminated. Each course is packed with traps, obstacles and rival racers, so reaching the finish takes timing and a bit of luck.

You can take on bot opponents or online rivals by yourself, or share one keyboard with a friend in two-player mode. Coins earned through achievements open up extra skins and characters, which gives you a reason to keep going back for another heat. Challenge the Runners opens in your browser and works on a phone too, though a keyboard makes the two-player races much easier to manage.

How to play Challenge the Runners

Choose single player or two player mode.
Run through the course with W A S D or the arrow keys and press Space to jump.
In two-player mode, Player 1 uses W A S D and Player 2 uses the arrow keys, with G as the jump button.
Clear the hazards, avoid traps and keep qualifying so you are never knocked out.
Earn coins through achievements and spend them on fresh skins and characters.

Tips for Challenge the Runners

Do not jump early. Waiting until you are right at an obstacle usually gives a cleaner landing than leaping from far away.
Stay out of crowded packs where rivals bump each other; running slightly to the side keeps your path clearer.
Playing two players on one keyboard? Agree on a side of the keyboard first so your hands do not collide.
